C-SPAN Airs Pulitzer Event

C-SPAN aired the Pulitzer Centennial event hosted by the Poynter Institute and featuring U.S. Rep. John Lewis and cast members of The Power of Song Inc. 6:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, April 17, 2016.

The event that drew a sold out crowd of more than 800 to The Palladium Theater in St. Petersburg, Fla., won rave reviews for its educational and entertainment presentation of Pulitzer Prize works and history of the Civil Rights Movement.

The Power of Song Inc. provided the music for the event, under the direction of CEO and co-founder September Penn.

The Passages Singers, a core part of The Power of Song and pictured here with Lewis, performed during the event. Performances also include the sensational ALEX Alexander Harris, Sharon Scott, Bill Schustik, The Power of Song Community Choir and the ACT dancers.
